I had bought this bag filled with fun lipstick and other lip products from Hautelook awhile ago. This arrived a few months ago. One thing to keep in mind when ordering form Hautelook is the shipping time frame. Usually, it is shipped a month after the purchase date, so it can take a long time to reach you. I don't mind waiting because by the time I get it, it is like a little surprise in my mailbox. This bag was chock-full of fun lip products with brands I have heard of, and brand I have yet to try.
I'm glad I snagged it up, because this was on my screen a day after I had purchased my order. I went back to check and see if I could get a second one as a gift, but apparently everyone else loved this bag as much as I did.
Which proves another point I want to make, if using Hautelook...things don't last long. If you see a great deal, snag it up and think later. I tend to make impulsive purchases here, sometimes to my discredit. It's a gamble.
So when the bag arrived, it contained everything I had expected. I have not tried the lip products out yet since I haven't been wearing too many fun lipstick/lip gloss shades. However, I do have a few swatches for you.
First off, I want to say the bag itself is very well constructed. It is such a sturdy bag with a really nice zipper. The bag was probably half the value of this set, so that itself makes it worthwhile. The first product up for review is the Lord & Berry.
This lipstick is so creamy and so vivid. I don't think I will wear it in the Summer months, but it will look gorgeous in the Fall. I'm excited to wear this soon. The color is in 20100 and is a crayon lipstick.
The next one up the Laura Geller lipstick.
The color was in Sugared Maple, and it was a very sheer color. I'm not sure I really like the color of this lipstick, but the consistency is very nice. It glides on smoothly. The wear is also very sheer and tends to disappear after about an hour or so. If this were not in the set, I would not purchase it individually.
The next one is this beautiful Lorac lip gloss.
It is a bit sticky, but that is okay. The color is rich and pigmented, so much so that it wears more like a lipstick than a lip gloss. The color is in Ruby Lustre, and that is the perfect description for this gloss. It is a ruby color (deeper red) compared to all the other colors I've received in this bag. I would purchase this separately, and will purchase it again when I run out.
Next is a Nyx lip liner...
I didn't do a swatch of it because unlike the package color, the lip liner is your everyday lip liner. It is a fleshy tone. Nothing too exciting, but always nice to have lip liners handy.
I also received Mirenesse Lip Bomb (gloss) and Glossy Kiss (stain). This came in a set.
These are so bright and pretty. Again, they are red. Kind of seeing a trend here on that fact. It's nice to have so many different reds to choose from. The Glossy Kiss looks very similar to the Lord & Berry above. These don't have names, but rather numbers. I received Lip Bomb in #2, and Glossy Kiss in #2. There seems to be a visible difference between the two in terms of color. The Glossy Kiss is not as deep of a red as the Lip Bomb, even though they are the same color.
In addition to the lip products, I received one makeup remover wipe, lipstick holder, and lip brush. These are all pictured in the photo of all the items together. The lipstick holder is really nice and adorable. Although, half the time I am sure I will forget to use it. It is a nice addition to this bag.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I really love all the reds I get to try out (mostly in the Fall). I received all of this for only $10!! That boggles my mind sometimes.
Have a great week everyone.
